GVC Holdings-owned online poker card room partypoker officially revealed its plans to release a new LIVE product in 2017. This is a great step forward for the online poker giant, as it heads to live tournament business with the product in question.
Tom Waters, Group Head of the partypoker brand commented on the announcement, saying that the feedback received from the Caribbean Poker Party players had made the online poker brand’s team understand that players had been craving not only for events offering large guaranteed prize pools but also excellent gaming experience.
Mr. Waters confirmed that the partypoker LIVE schedule in 2017 would include various events, with online qualifiers starting from $0.01.
As revealed by the brand itself, partypoker LIVE would be a fresh new live tour that is to be headlined by the partypoker Million. The GVC Holdings-owned brand also revealed that each of the partypoker Million events features a buy-in amounting to $5,000 as well as a massive guaranteed prize pool. In addition, in the year 2017 the tour is planned to head to a number of destinations around the world, with its full schedule expected to be officially revealed anytime soon.
The Playground Poker Club venue in Montreal, Canada has been confirmed as the first stop of the new partypoker LIVE tour. The event will be hosted there in May 2017 and offers a guaranteed prize pool of CA$5 million, with a first-place prize amounting to CA$1 million. As mentioned above, the buy-in for this event of the series will be CA$5,000.
The Chief Marketing Officer of the Playground Poker Club Phil Sabbah commented on the fact that the new partypoker LIVE tournament is to start at their venue in Montreal. He confirmed of the news and added that the casino’s team was very happy with the fact that they were to host the first tournament of the new series. Mr. Sabbah shared that the new events that would be offered by partypoker in 2017 were truly amazing and announced that Playground Poker Club would be featuring live phase 1’s in the club, too.
But that is not all. The newly-announced LIVE tour of the partypoker brand is also to host the brand’s Million Nationals. The latter will feature $1,000 buy-ins as well as massive guaranteed prize pools estimated to more than $500,000. The so-called Grand Prix Poker Tour events, which have always been quite successful and have attracted a large number of players, will also be included in the partypoker LIVE tour, featuring low buy-ins of $1,000 and large payouts for recreational poker players.
